Welcome Aboard! From Dock to Deck 
This day is focused on preparing you for the sailing season whether you are a returning sailor or brand new to the sport! You may be able to get a jump start on completing some elements of the Singles on Sailboats Basic Skills program

Schedule:

  • 8:30am: Registration and coffee at the Queens Landing Clubhouse
  • 9:00am to 10:30am: Introduction to SOS
  • 10:30am to Noon: Sailing Fundamentals presented by Kristen Berry
  • Noon: Simple lunch (provided)
  • 1:00pm to 4:00pm - Castle Marina visit to boats for Dockside Training
  • 4:00pm to 6:00pm - Happy Hour at Pour House Pub, Castle Marina, where drinks are available for purchase

SOS Wellness Protocol
All participants attending SOS in-person events should be feeling well. They should not attend an event if they have symptoms of a communicable respiratory or gastrointestinal illness, are “feeling like something is coming on”, have a recent significant exposure to someone with a communicable respiratory or gastrointestinal illness, or have not waited a recommended isolation time after a recent respiratory or gastrointestinal infection (for COVID this would be 10 days from your first symptoms or positive test).
In addition, a skipper/host may have further requirements or request other preventive measures (for example, crew or guests having received the currently recommended COVID-19 vaccine or wearing masks when below deck).
